It can always be off putting how people deal with death.

A doctor has to numb themselves somewhat but like you mention there are those that are too numb.

You need a doctor that is not so affected by the moment, but you also don’t want a sociopath…

    Naw, I have worked in EMS. Yeah, there are coping mechanisms that people might find distasteful. Dark humor and all that.

    You don't bring it up in conversation with strangers though. That isn't coping, that is reveling.
