A nice civil case against the tow driver and company will sting pretty badly.
I'd add everyone in the HOA to that civil suit, too. Make them all pay.

Agreed. Read your HOA docs and see if you agreed to allow them on your private property. I sued mine once and they paid me.
Did they then add a 'legal fees' line item to your maintenance invoice though?
Ha ha, probably. I moved away from those assholes. Yes a Florida HOA.
