Apparently “rich” is different from “the rich”

    A person can be rich in many ways. A coral reef is rich in biodiversity etc.

    The rich refers to the group of people who are financially rich to an obscene extent.

    Sure, but I’m rich because I have a net worth of about €10k, retirement savings included. I’m not the rich, because my €700 rent is sometimes tough, even as part of a DINK couple.
