Time for a CPC delegation to visit Puerto Rico
I get your point, but I also feel like that is false equivalency. Puerto Rico is illegally occupied by a colonial US and wants independent. Taiwan is legally claimed by China in a way that is internationally recognised under the UN Resolution 2758, and both Taiwan and China claim to be the only China as per the One-China agreement signed by Mao and Chiang Kai Shek which, contrary to the Western narrative, was bilateral. Taiwan does not claim independence, it claims to be China. Taiwan, under the same UN resolution, is an illegal state. A PRC/CPC delegation visit to Puerto Rico would be ligitimate and only a minor offence - if it is an offence at all to support and oppressed people - in the eyes of international law and morality. The US's current war mongering is one of the most flagrant breaches of international law and human decency since the second Iraq War. Which, coincidentally, was also America-led.
Of course, it's not a good comparison beyond the surface level. It's like comparing liberals' support of Taiwan independence to their dismissal of the DPR/LPR -- it's useful to illustrate their hypocrisy, but the latter has very legitimate reasons for decoupling from Ukraine.
