it boggles the mind because there's no way they don't know at this point that there's quite a lively global community for this stuff. probably not that much in the grand scheme of things, but surely not an insignificant portion of the (already v limited) preorder slots are filled by people from elsewhere using proxies / resellers.

I used to buy gunpla from a very well stocked Japanese website but Bandai said nope, international users must buy from their local approved resellers and now I only have access to resellers with pathetic catalog and stocks
