Perhaps the Energise app might be enough? https://codeberg.org/epinez/Energize/
It's on F-Droid, but is an app and not self-hosted. It also isn't really what you're looking for I don't think, but I'm not aware of anything like what you describe.
Ok thank you for the recommendation. Not quite what i was looking for, no but still an interesting app to follow. I might have to make my own project if it doesn't exist! Thanks again Dave.
I have to admit I was surprised I couldn't find anything. It seems like the technology should exist, like it should be a relatively common thing people want, and it doesn't sound overly complicated.
I found a reddit post talking about it and most people used a spread sheet or a notebook!
I was about to reply with 'i guess you will end up using spreadsheets', until this comment loaded.
I'm actually working on software to do this, with metrics, but it's far from ready for primetime. So this is not helping (only myself to see that there is interest 😏).
And what tech stack are you building it on? Gitlab or somewhere in the open? I am looking for some projects so I may be able to contribute but Python is the only language I am versed in currently.
