And then a short time later, an absolutely massive amount of those exact young people voted for him. He could come out and directly say “This is a message to the youth. I will not make your life better. I will only expand wars and keep the money flowing up.” And then MILLIONS of young voters would vote for him. I can’t think about it too hard or else it kind of breaks my brain

    It makes more sense if you think of it as votes against Trump rather than votes for Biden.

    There's a bit of amnesia around Trump's administration, people like to remember him as "mean tweets" guy and not for his thermobaric bomb fetish, or how he would nonchalantly launch attacks on Syria without congressional approval first.

    Isn't it neat how we can't criticize past presidents, Clinton, Bush, Obama, Trump for war crimes without someone saying "what about current president".

    Mark my words, after we have a new president suddenly we won't be able to say "Genocide Joe" without someone going "yeah like [current president] is so different".

    And liberals would defend it with "sure he might have explicitly said he'd do those thing but I imagine Trump would be worse even though he was already president once and it wasnt"

    Project 2025 will get a number of them but majority have never heard of it or care. They just know Trump bad and equals Hitler. Biden good and equals Obama and Obama best president ever. Make funny memes and go on tv.
