We kind of already knew this but Universal has now officially announced that a DreamWorks themed land will be replacing the closed KidZone area at Universal Studios Florida.

I see this as a pretty temporary setup until epic opens. They need a place in the mean time for meet and greets and potentially a little show. I bet longer term the whole area will be redeveloped post epic.

I don't know if I'm sold on that idea but it certainly is possible. It does seem like a retheme more than anything because the whole time the wall has been up I could still see the top of the woody woodpecker coaster (unless that just started coming down in the last month or so). It'll be interesting to see what happens with a lot of areas in USF/IoA after Epic opens.

I really hope that ET remains. They need to keep something from opening day.... I would have rather that been Back to the Future but ET is also a classic.

E.T. Probably safe for a long time. This last trip they were using the entire extended queue and then some, and of course I waited in it cause you just never know. I does need some tlc.

There are certainly some needs of rehab and maybe some additional effects of some sort but is still a neat ride and honestly fits great next to a kids area.
