Is the probability of getting caught high? Do I need to use a VPN or Tor?

I am fairly new to using debrid and stremio. But the confusion here is, what makes downloading a bunch of files safe, when the file names are very obvious? I know the streaming part is safe, and I know there isn't much difference in streaming VS downloading (they are basically the same thing), but lets say someone might stream 1 movie a day, that is reasonable. Now what if they download 30 in a day, that doesn't set off any red flags anywhere when the file names will literally be word-for-word movie titles, resolutions, audio codecs etc?

We all know how good Valve/Steam is as a platform (discounting bad publishers I shall not name) for video games. This is currently the only place I regularly buy from instead of pirating just because it's so convenient, cheap (rip your wallet during sales) and has so many useful features (profile, community, controller inputs, workshop etc.). Also I know this is a privileged take from a 1st world country, I'm sorry for my homies with expensive games nonetheless due to conversion rates.

However it stops there. For any other media consumption, piracy is still more reliable. Namely finding a movie or show you wanna watch, unless you have the right streaming subscription you're locked out.

So my dream service for that would be something like Prime Video, BUT FREE to use and access. You can browse free public domain videos, add in YouTube, but you can also buy or rent ALL movies and shows. I would want regular discounts, like a store page with a category of hot deals like $1, bundled movies for sagas/movie series, a rating and community system for discussions, your own watchlists and notifications when something goes on sale and a bunch more.

I know this is a pipe dream and capitalism would never, but I would honestly never have to pirate media again if such a service existed.

So for a very long time I've been running 2 browsers separately - Firefox for regular browsing, Chrome for all video media. This goes back to before my 2nd monitor died, and having 2 separately acting browsers with their own positions, accounts, etc has been very convenient. Both browsers also have had their own ways to allow embedded videos to continue buffering past their regular limits to avoid streaming sites from lagging (which I don't know if possible to implement on any other browser).

But Chrome is about to be fully borked. I was wondering if there was a way to have Firefox run as two completely separate clients so that I can have things going like I do now, but obviously better?

So I bought a Mass Effect: Legendary Edition on steam when it was the summer sale. Fast forward to yesterday, I finally decide to play it, I launch the game and it asks me to type in some verification code from email, that is supposedly linked to my steam account. Fun part is that I've never had EA account before. So I go to EA support, fill in my first ticket. They assign me an assistant, they asked my name and then nothing, silence. 5 minutes later, the chat closed. OK, let's try it again. I click "Resume" on my ticket, fill in the same information again, attach the screenshot of my problem and then I get assigned another assitsant. I tell them my name and the problem I have.

and then the ticket gets immediately closed. Gee thanks. I contacted steam support, this is their response.

Sorry Damon

As expected, Steam can't help me. So I open another ticket.

And there, I began to lose my sh*t. I described, and attached the screenshot of my problem to every damn support ticket I opened.

Asked me to share the same screenshot, that I attached to every ticket.

"If you are able to play game i think the issue is fixed" mf WHERE DID I SAY THAT I CAN'T LAUNCH THE GAME

This is it. My boiling point. The fuck makes you think I'm obliged to share my emails with you ffs. I just can't justify NOT pirating AAA games anymore. I bought the game, and it gave me more trouble trying to make it work, than downloading a repack. Also, how incompetent is the support team? Fuck you, EA.

I know that websites like YouTube, Netflix, and general streaming service use some weird stuff to make videos hidden, idk how to do that. I found inside out 2 in a website which is called faragski (can't provide the link because of the rules) And it doesn't have annoying ads on it, so is there a way I can download it from the website?

So I saw something recently that said something about Google making some changes to an agreement that will cost Mozilla 81% of their annual income and I didn't really pay that much attention to it.

I told you that to give context. I had been thinking for a few months that I'm starting to get sick of Google wanting to be so far up my arse that they could clean my teeth, so I have been toying with the idea of switching to Firefox as my browser.

Firefox seems to do everything I need it to do so far, but I can't help but wonder, did I jump ship too late? Is the writing on the wall for Mozilla? If not, what are the actual real benefits to using Firefox over Chrome besides the privacy stance?

Thank you in advance for any help you can offer with this.

i'm looking to set up something for my mom who has recently gone blind but used to be an avid reader. i was thinking of getting her an ereader and loading her up with audiobooks, but i was wondering if there was something similar to the zlib app so i could just download audiobooks and send them to her ereader? ive never been an audiobook enjoyer so i wouldn't know how to procure them like most people do, let alone how to pirate them the way i do ebooks. i am very lost 😅
