Dating apps have become enshittified and is why they are so ineffective. However, there is a huge opportunity for improvement. The core hypothesis my app is: a pay-per-mutual-match model that aligns user and app incentives. The mutual financial investment also makes users more likely to engage once they match.

My app doesn’t rely on complex algorithms or AI for matchmaking, as they perpetuate biases. Instead, I use a transparent system where users fill out a detailed questionnaire, and I match them based on their answers using SQL queries.

The app is built with open source software (Docker, Django, Flutter, and more!), so no vendor lock-in. This is the first app I ever made so it has been an incredible learning experience.

Ask me anything about my app, Qtpi, my tech stack, or my journey!

I am dating someone who is 33 years older than me. I know a lot of people have strong opinions about that, so I’m happy to answer any questions anyone may have and will try to answer them as honestly as I possibly can.

Hello,

I have schizophrenia however you won't even know it unless I tell you myself, I only have delusion of reference and delusion of persecution. I feel like people want to harm me or mocking me. I don't hear any voices though which is the major symptom of schizophrenia. I am afraid of water and soap too.

AMA :)

Title. I don’t know what to consider it, whether it stems from body dysmorphia or whatever but I have a general (although not extremely impairing) fear and discomfort of nudity. This may be common, though I haven’t met anyone who’s as uncomfortable with nudity and their own body as I am.

Hi guys,

Until last month I was employed for four years. I just used to have a job at a Pizza place as a driver but due to obvious events that place closed down and I remained unemployed for four years until I got a job at Burger King last month.

When I was 20 I was diagnosed by a psychologist with having Narcissistic Personality Disorder. At first I was in denial about but over time I come to terms with my narcissism and the diagnosis started to make sense to me. A lot of my problems can be traced back to my unrealistic self image and lack of ability to relate with others.

There's a lot of stigma towards NPD. I hope by making this thread I can help others understand that having NPD doesn't inherently make you a bad person and NPD hurts the person with it as well.

Just going over the various recent posts, most of them are from brand new accounts that then get deleted. Many of them are from people saying they're from foreign countries yet the OP speaks perfect English. In one case I mentioned that the username was the same as a Reddit/Instagram user...

Hell, the most recent one (Kazak person that was kidnapped)? They were taught Kazak and English by their kidnapper? Kazak and Russian sure, but English? I call bullshit.

Good morning from Texas! My family set-up is: my father, my mother (his wife), his "main" girlfriend and 2 "secondary" girlfriends which get changed usually every 2-3 years. Yes, we all live together in the same house - though it's a big house - so it doesn't feel crowded. It's not a religious thing at all, we're atheists.

Not strict as in beatings; strict as in limited screen time, set bedtime and morning call, curfew, chore schedule, healthy diet and mandatory regular exercise, no smartphone, etc. We have a 15-year-old son.

Hey everyone! I’m a 26-year-old architect based in London, and I’m about to get married to my best friend of 20 years. Yep, she’s been in my life since we were kids, and now we’re tying the knot next year.

I work in sustainable architecture (think green buildings, smart cities, all that eco-friendly good stuff). But today, I’m more interested in chatting about the stuff behind the work: life, love, and how to make it all work—especially when you’re balancing an intense career with a wedding that’s somehow both exciting and terrifying.
