This Community Has Migrated

Hey everyone! This community has migrated over to https://programming.dev/c/TenacityAudio, or @[email protected]. Please follow that community instead of the old one.

Thank you for your understanding.

Some testing with Mastodon and Lemmy

It appears that if one tags a Lemmy community, you can post to it that way. The first line of the post will also be the title. This seems pretty neat!

This is really just a testing post. If this works, it works. Otherwise, it doesn't. We'll see!

P.S: Parden the notification spam if you follow us. Apparently, if your first line is the community mention, it messes up the post's title. Just a part of the experimentation process!

So a few things about the new Lemmy community:

  1. You may prefer @TenacityAudio over the URL we provided.

  2. Shortly after the community was created, before we even announced it, we instantly got 50 subscribers. Did the community spread that fast? Wow! 🤯

Hello everyone! This is gperson here with the official Tenacity Lemmy community! I hope you enjoy your stay!

Why was this Community Created?

Since around the start of this project, we have had an unofficial subreddit over at https://reddit.com/r/TenacityAudio. Up until several months ago, I was making several posts related to the project's status, including posts about new releases. I was also replying to comments and helping users that way as well. Several months ago, however, the community was restricted for some reason, preventing me from making any further posts.

Recently, I contacted the lone moderator. They appear to be inactive, but I gave them 30 days before I'd make a request to take over moderation of the subreddit. However, I'm unsure if this would exactly work as my Reddit account only has 28 comment karma, barely a fourth over the required comment karma limit. I do not intend on earning more comment karma to comply with the requirements; meanwhile, I intend on submitting a request anyways because I think I might have some justification behind it as I also want to make it an official community.

Regardless of what happens with the unofficial subreddit, this official Lemmy community is here to stay. If I gain access to the r/TenacityAudio subreddit, then this community will supplement the Reddit community. Otherwise, it will remain on its own. Regardless, if you don't like Reddit, then you're always welcome here!

Some Basic House Keeping

When I get time, I'll fill out the sidebar with important information, such as the rules (including the code of conduct), maybe some major announcements, and other important stuff. Suggestions are always appreciated.

In the meantime, we welcome your stay, value any feedback you might have about Tenacity, and appreciate any contribution no matter its size! We aim to make this community a comfortable space for anything related to Tenacity (and perhaps more generally audio-related stuff), so enjoy your stay here!

Until next time! :D
