Sony really dropped the ball this generation.

Maybe we'll see, you know, actual games being released in the next one.

It's alright.

I'm glad I can take my laptop and essentially work anywhere with a power outlet and an internet connection.

Avoiding contributing to the economy as much as possible.

Doing business under the table, never eating at restaurants, never spending money on digital entertainment I could be getting for free.

I'm honestly a lot happier than when I was consuming.

I wish more people had this mindset.

Kind of reminds me of how Pride just became another advertising platform for businesses.

Money really does ruin everything.

No car has gotten anywhere close to the level of tech in Tesla.

Not really, and you have to consider a lot of 'tech' is useless crap nobody cares about like door handles that recede into the vehicle.

People literally just want an electric motor instead of an ICE. Dumb shit like touchscreens and tracking exist because companies charge more for each "feature" than it actually costs to implement.

Why can't they just tell us who they are?

We need to reclaim the wealth that has been stolen so our families don't end up serving their families in perpetuity.

Their children should have to live like regular kids.

In reality, reddit gave a userbase to a platform that previously had none.

[-] zensanto@ttrpg.network 18 points 17 hours ago

I dunno about netflix, but at least the reddit debacle diverted a lot of users to the fediverse.

If we get a similar exodus from discord to matrix, that would work wonders for spreading the fediverse to others. Most of them still haven't even heard of it.

🤮

Who are the morons that keep making these decisions?

[-] zensanto@ttrpg.network 31 points 17 hours ago

It's all about abuse.

Companies get too big for their britches and are accustomed to doing whatever they want with their sheep just going along.

I'm sure they're very surprised to see any kind of significant backlash.
