Schale?

Wait, so he has an approval of like -10%?

except for nor using it at all, of course.

So I want to make my homelab IPv6 ready, because I have too much free time, i guess. There are two decisions that I'm currently unsure about:

  1. ULA or not. Do you have local only addresses or do your clients communicate using the global IPv6 address? Does not using ULAs work without a static IP from the ISP?
  2. DHCPv6 or is SLAAC enough?

For each question both options seem to be possible and I'm interested in your experience

Cheers

For example I have some last gen hue lights 1100 lm. Their color temp goes from 2000 - 6500 K. Why is that? I mean the are RGB, they can do pure blue and pure red, so they should be able to do any temperature, no?

Are there even any? I only know of Bosch, but it's basically just a rebranded Ecovacs.

Ideally it has home assistant integration

Edit: After a quick research I came up with this:

  • Vorwerk: Way too expensive. Premium price for a very basic device
  • Kärcher seems like a solid choice
  • Dyson is expensive and the performance does not quite seem to match the price
  • Philips, Electrolux and Miele also offer vacuum robots, but I don't know how good they are, yet
  • There's also Samsung, which is not european, of course, but at least not chinese or american

yes, it's a rant. I don't care.

Back in the days drag and drop was working perfectly fine, but now it's a pain to use. I just installed mkvtoolnix dropped two files into it and it worked. Wanted to add another one and it didn't. Guess it's because it's in a network share and for some reason that matters. Adding the file via the menu works though wtf? Reinstalled mkvtoolnix. Now natively instead of flatpack and now dropping from the network share works, too. Guess it's some sandbox permission thing and who doesn't love fiddling with permissions on a weekend.

Btw dropping a file into the file open dialog window also does not work when the program is installed as flatpack. Try explaining that to your mom and then think about why most people think linux is to complicated.

Also remember how you could drop a file instead of pasting its path? I just tried that to add the path of a video into a text file and it inserted the video into the text. Of course it froze the text editor. Great.

Also way too many times firefox opens a file then I drop it in instead of uploading it to the cloud storage I have opened and unzipping files by dragging them out of the archive manager is not possible for the last couple of years.

Honestly I don't care about workarounds or if it's a wayland, grnome or flatpack problem. These are basic functionality that I expect to just work

I'm on OpenSuse Tumbleweed (although I'm pretty sure I noticed the behavior on Manjaro, too).

The problem is that the volume of e.g. Firefox gets turned down for no reason. I noticed that a youtube video was quite quiet. I then checkt pavu control and saw that the volume for Firefox was set to 83%. I set it back to 100, but after the pc resumed from standby, it was at 83 again. Sometimes it's enough to just pause the video for it to move the volume back down.

Why is that and how do I disable this functionality?
