If you want to have a listen, you can see that the majority of the noise is from the key returning to the top, which can be massively reduced by using more dense material in the keycaps themselves, and by using rubber o-rings on the keycap stems. (Or by having weaker springs so the upwards return force is less aggressive)

The sound is at about the same level as typing on a regular membrane keyboard

For me it's being able to pick and choose the resistance to button presses, I go with heavy (60-70g) springs because I have a habit of hammering on keys and that resistance reduces the time I spend bottoming out the keys.

I use tactile switches (no audible click but a noticeable feel of when the switch actuates) instead of the 'blue' or clicky keyswitches because I prefer my keyboard not announce itself.

Linear switches are also an option, with some of them you can have an entirely silent action, often with softer springs so that typing on it feels like brushing your fingers across a cloud (for me softer springs means pressing random keys all the time because I am a ham fisted gorilla in a human suit.)

If the sponge is too gross to touch, throw it out.

If you have the means, a countertop dishwasher may seem like an expensive item, but it'll use <10% the water of washing by hand, save you from needing to buy gloves every time, and if you're like me, rinse aid will stop your glassware from getting that chalkboard texture. (A refurbished one from a decent company will set you back at most 200, well worth it if you're living alone and not doing a household worth of dishes)

In 1961, 18-year-old Ross enlisted in the United States Air Force and was put into service as a medical records technician.โ€Š He rose to the rank of master sergeant and served as the first sergeant of the clinic at Eielson Air Force Base in Alaska, where he first saw the snow and mountains that later appear as recurring themes in his paintings. He developed his quick painting technique during brief daily work breaks.

From this wiki page, his style was built out of necessity, where he could only paint on a break, in effect he was one of the first speedpainters to become widely known (pulling that out of my ass because art history is something I know <1 about(slightly more than nothing).)

"There's evidence of organic matter that has decayed over the years, we traced back through our archives of which microorganisms broke down biological matter and their waste products, to determine the origins, but the results were unsettling."

    "It was semen wasn't it?"

    "...it was."

    "And the sculpture inside?"

"...These ancient people had rather niche tastes"
