"please insert a corporate middleman with no oversight into your somewhat private conversation"

Assistant doesn’t log messages or summaries, and the interactions aren’t used to train the Large Language Model (LLM).

Sure, then in 2 years I get an easy-to-miss email that says they're changing the terms and the past 5 years of data will be opened for corporate access and use at its discretion without the requirement to inform you.

I've seen this episode before. Much like Hollywood, it's the same story over and over and the public is getting tired of it.

I know that android and IOS both have features for blind and hard of hearing people that may be possible to implement with assistant to help with this? I don't know if it would summarise exactly though

I was thinking of something like audio description but it only seems to work with movies and tv and only if they support it.

How long are your text messages that they need summarization?

It's not a single message. When you get some messages on a group chat it summarizes the discussion. In my opinion it has been the most useful update to Google assistant in a long time.

I have this in Google Chat and it's just annoying, and omits important details. If I were a business I'd probably be disabling Google Chat entirely for this reason.
