i think you need all of her being a piece of shit even without politics or money, being in bed with racists both literally and financially, losing to a muslim, and the pressure on israel to get this kind of crashout.

This question is way too vague. Haley Stevens was very publicly huffing her own farts during the primary so its entirely possible that she just did that all on her own accord. Unless someone leaks chat logs its an entirely unfalsifiable question that AIPAC "made" her do anything.
I also don't see why driving a wedge in the democratic establishment is beneficial to AIPAC. The democratic establishment is still pretty solidly pro-zionism. Fracturing that block would have created room for anti-zionists.
i saw some story quoting people from her campaign that apparently her big AIPAC donor husband was vocally dressing her down in front of people for being not-hostile-enough to AES and that she just snapped.
dunno if i believe it, but thesepower couple marriages are fucked so maybe.
I’m getting spam texts about her endorsement every two hours (in Michigan); it seems like they really think this will work somehow???
My gut is that it came from Stevens but ofc all we can do is speculate about behind-closed-doors stuff. The week before she flipped, she was trying to triangulate in the most cowardly way, saying over and over that she would "vote the Democratic ticket" without saying Abdul's name directly, but I'm guessing that that didn't get the reaction from her own donors/those close to her that she wanted it to and decided to take the plunge in the 11th hour.
- I don't think any of this is going to move voters, there's no way the election outcome itself was the target.
- we already knew this, but spineless careerists [I wont even call them "liberal" cause most of the time they aren't even convicted about ideological liberalism] are ultimately just running scared, and AIPAC has been a formidable force in US politics until their armor got chipped this year.
- I wonder if they pushed Stevens to defect so that the Dem establishment is forced to support the "defeat Republicans " narrative or the pro-AIPAC narrative. Once they are on the record denouncing Steven's, AIPAC has just cause to target their former assets with their money cannon.
- I dont think any of this will ultimately be relevant in the next election cycle. This is obviously an aggressive strategy, but Zionism is beyond cooked among voters. It is obviously not dead along the political establishment, but it is inevitably going to fade.
