I made this with acrylic paint markers from Walmart, it’s my first attempt using them :)

I really like this art piece. The way I’m interpreting it is the subject (who is fucking beautiful by the way) is seeing all these oversexualized, idealized body shapes and comparing herself to them and telling herself she’s not pretty cause she can’t live up to those idealized shapes. And she’s focused in on all these “hot spots” instead of appreciating the beauty of a whole body put together. I also notice that there is the face of a man looking at all of those idealized shapes. I love the way you’ve drawn the woman on the right, the colors are beautiful and there is lots of whimsy.

Thank you so much! I love your analysis, it’s bang on. And the man, along with some eyes in the bottom left, are focused on the “ideal” pieces of women to highlight how the subject feels invisible and inadequate when all those ‘perfect’ pieces are available. Thank you for the praise, it is very encouraging!

That's an amazing art piece. Gives surreal vibes, which is somewhat normalized to me. Cue the Nanas from Nikki de saint phalle.

Then you pick up the details and feel compassion, suffering and catharsis.

Great work! Love the composition, it really drags me in. I ended up staring at it for way too long, which is a huge compliment.
