Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is seeking Saudi Arabia's approval, through U.S. mediation, for Israel to join the campaign against Yemen's Houthis, a diplomatic source told Haaretz, adding that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman opposes Israeli military involvement because of the likely backlash among the kingdom's public.

if they do they would likely start expanding the occupied territory into saudi arabia over the years. it starts as a "justified military presence" and then develops into full occupation. of course what the prince says is real, too, though.

Riyadh does not want Israeli jets over Yemen with Israeli markings on them. The crown prince's objection is the real story. Saudi needs the Houthis contained, not a visible Israeli footprint that hands Tehran the sectarian argument for free.

They're allies, Israel joining will have no effect because they're essentially fighting together already. Saudis have buyer's remorse.
