Since 1967, teachers could only physically intervene with students if their safety or that of others was at risk. Starting in August 2027, they will be allowed to 'hold a student, keep them in place, or take them to another room' if the student disrupts the class.

Thought I moved from R*ddit to see more constructive comments (among many other things), turns out nobody reads past the headline here either.
WTF is happening to the world
Read the fucking article fa chrise sakes. Only thing it’s allowing teachers to do is to restrain a kid if the kid is harming others
For some definition of harming others.
The subtitle says:
if the student disrupts the class
And, in the body of the article:
The proposed law would allow teachers to physically intervene if a student harasses or insults others, or "significantly" disrupts lessons.
Did you?
The current legislation only allows teachers to use force if a student poses a danger to themselves, others, or school property. The teachers' union (Danmarks Lærerforening) has long called for greater flexibility, arguing that it is increasingly difficult to manage students who disturb class and refuse to keep quiet or leave when asked.
They already have the ability to restrain a child who is a danger to others, this is for children who are simply disrupting a class.
I can't remember the last time I heard a good story out of those damn dastardly danes.
Western nations just mask off brutal Nazis now
For being able to move kids out of a classroom?
You need to use physical force on kids to get them to comply?
If they refuse to comply otherwise, yes.
You'll let one kid ruin class for everyone else? They deserve their education.
yep agree, not sure why people are ok with one kid being a jerk and disrupting everyone else with little consequence.
Can't help but feel like theres steps in that "refuse to comply otherwise" that you are glossing over to justify this.
Have you ever worked with kids?
