Might as well hold it now, otherwise would have been next year. The Spanish housing crisis might help them as it’s typically a more left wing topic.

    Sanchez hopes that current protest over housing will cover up his government's failure in Ceuta. He obviously prefers for housing to be the main electoral issue, not immigration, and he failed to address the demands of protesters on purpose, so that the protests can extend into the elections and cover other issues. He's positioning himself against the Catalans now but he clearly has no chance of forming government without them. I don't expect this to work. People are not as stupid as he thinks. According to the polls his chances of winning are very very slim.
