She a cutie but she likes to tug on her leash. We left her tied up round back and the goofball kept sleeping on the roofing material. Anywho I love these dogs, they are so adorable and sweet.

genuinely trying to understand what you're saying here. are you saying that thinking pitbulls are bad/violent is racist?

In the US, pitbulls are specifically associated with the black and hispanic communities, so when someone talks about pitbulls being "inherently" violent dogs, it's usually not a big leap for that person to then imply that the "owners" (us-foreign-policy ) are inherently violent people.

It threw me for a loop the first time I heard it too, since like a lot of US racism, it's so pointlessly buried in seemingly unrelated stuff, but it is apparently pretty common over there for anti-pitbull sentiment to be more anti-pitbull owner sentiment disguised with a literal dog whistle.

The arguments that people use to say that pitbulls are inherently violent are the same as the arguments that were used to say that black people are inferior or genetically distinct to white people, which have been scientifically proven to be false. Research has shown that intelligence, personality and behaviour cannot be traced back through genetic lineages because the imagined distinct lineages do not exist.

The same is true for pitbulls, while the breeding that was done to create pitbulls could have resulted in distinct personality features, the assumption that these features are still present in modern pitbulls in unscientific. Most modern pitbulls are mixed breeds and are characterised as pitbull by their appearance rather than their personality. So at this point there does not exist a “lineage” that defines the personality of a random pitbull, as its lineage is so diverse.

Freya is a great name for a dog. My friends have what we think is a Carolina Dog with that name and she's nuts (in a good way).

My other buddy has a pit named Moose and she'll steal your shoes when you come over so you don't leave lol.

spend a week on r/banpitbulls , everyday there are daily news stories from around the world about horrific maulings and deaths by these bloodsport dogs. Most of these deaths are children and the elderly, and a lot of cats. Beside stray pitbulls, there are plenty of stories about how family pet pitbulls that snap for no reason.

"Spend a week on r/actualpublicfreakout, every day there are daily news stores of those damn removeds being violent and awful people for no reason, there are plenty of stories showing that those people are not fit for polite society."

Using a subreddit devoted to hating on a particular thing as proof that that thing is bad is not a very clever thing to do, if we went by reddit's opinion on anything, everything from children to people who don't play video games/worship the west religiously would be considered worthy of being sent to the camps.

I have a mix and I know I can't trust him around small children it really sucks. He's never hurt one but I can tell from his behavior. Idk where it came from I didn't get to raise him from puppyhood.

But I've known lots of great kitties too.

Pitbulls arent meant for the modern era where dogfighting is rightfully illegal. Sterilize pitbulls and let them die out.
