As someone who hunts in dense brush there's no way to mix up a human and a deer.

    That is the correct answer.

    It's not because "she looked like a deer", it's because "I saw movement in the distance and assumed it might be a deer"

    Hunting issues seems to cross borders. In France, a hunter can shoot on a runner's knee and explode it, or shoot on a house and never be too much scared by justice

    It's hard to find the correct level of punishment for an accident, although shooting at a runners knee sounds more than fucked up.

    I assume both of them lost their licences on the spot and the right to own guns for eternity

    If you can't tell a deer from a human you can't have firearms (or a driver's license for that matter)
