That's a good stand power, very D4C-esque

I slip in the shower every day on purpose. Once the portion of me's that survive dwindles down to one, I'll be The One.

So "that could have been bad" should be "RIP, other me".

it always was for me, even before I learned about the thought experiment.

So much is probability and chaos. I often would think "there's a version of me that that went a lot worse for" and feel thankful.

Wasn't that Anathem? Collapsing realities until you run out of ones where you're still alive?

I think there's this idea that when you die in your reality you just continue consciousness in a reality where you didn't until your very last... Life I guess.

Sort of. You have to exist to observe, therefore you can only observe a reality that you exist in.

I kinda like the idea that what we experience as reality, choice, and consciousness is an "average" all possible realities. Free will exists because your sense of self exists across multiple realities, there is a different reality for each decision (or probability based event) than you make. When you make that choice, it prunes your reality from all the other possibly realities, and the infinite tree of possible future outcomes gets smaller yet again.

I'm like this without any drugs at all. Don't let your kids read pulp books by theoretical physicists. It fucks with their head.
