Hello and welcome back to "userse31 is staying up unreasonably late into the night despite being sick".....

I live in a "ghetto". One of those American "ghettos"! Cue my mom moving in here and going "bUt ThEy'Re NoT bAd BlAcK pEoPlE" which was somehow even more racist then her previous comment.

Anyway trash collection night is fantastic around here. Dirty vacuum cleaners as far as the eye can see! (Yeah I have quite a few cords ready to go onto things.)

Quite a lot of furniture tbh. And appliances.

Yeah the slightly nicer neighborhood we lived in previously gave me a Bluray player, that was nice, but I really enjoy cutting out the AA battery compartments out of discarded toys you know?

Someone threw out an old CRT projection TV weeks ago. I REEEEALY wanted to drag that thing home and cannibalize it for parts, but alas it was too heavy ๐Ÿ˜”

Significantly less fun is when the local piss buckets decides to steal someones house and throw all of their stuff out. I really hate landlords. GOD DO I HATE LANDLORDS!

I saw a police body cam video where the sheriff's go to serve an eviction. They get the master key from management and they let the cleaners in. At the same time a group of people who were apparently tipped off about it show up to loot the stuff as they're bringing it out to the curb.

Halfway through the pigs realize they're in the wrong apartment, but it's too late, the looters have already taken a bunch of valuables.

I don't care what happens after the revolution as long as people who decide on and participate in evictions get the wall

Well I live in a "shitty" neighbourhood (they stab petty bourgeois demons) and I picked up not one but two PS3s. And one time in a much "nicer" neighbourhood I saw someone putting a brand new skateboard in the trash, but awkwardness got the best of me and I didn't pick it up. Now I know I have to be shameless

The only vacuum cleaners I'll pick up are the wireless ones. But for one reason and one reason only: The battery packs!

Unfortunately these things seem to be designed by the same clowns as those in charge of regular tool batteries as many of these things seem to have died from over discharging, nonexistent balancing, etc.

That's how I accidentally killed this "Craftsman" 20v battery I trashpicked. Left my phone charging from it overnight and that caused some of the cells to go negative.

Still though. It's worth it! And sometimes you can manually resurrect the individual cells.

Although this one time I found a 2x 18650 battery pack that went to some flying ball toy thing.

It was probably my neighbors...... But I found it in my yard, and they didn't seem to be looking for it, so I took that as a sign from the nonexistent gods to keep it lol. Especially given it wasn't attached to anything.

They live inside one of those DIY powerbank things from AliExpress.
