Nope. Nope nope nope.

My great grandfather worked on the dam. He was hit in the head with a huge (steel beam? Something?) That was so heavy it pushed him into the setting concrete he was standing on. He survived thanks to headgear but he suffered brain damage that meant he could no longer smell. Wasted away because eating sucked after that.

So I think it's crazy that instead of the large tunneling bores that we use now, they essentially just had a bunch of people with large hand drills on multiple levels, all drilling out the holes all at the same time and then blowing it up in stages as they kept going.
