  • Morris Park

    I’m not familiar enough with the Bronx to understand the impact but I’ll always upvote more transit and the video makes it look very useful

    That's surprisingly good news for New York.

    Don't locals usually oppose station improvements? Something about driving down real estate prices or whatever? (Though only temporarily, I know.)

    When there is an existing network that is reliable enough and people want you use it, it should increase real estate values in the area, as long as it isn't zoned to exclude high density development...

    The current administration of new York doesn't seem to put much weight into that at the moment (and probably for the best) so maybe that is a factor?

    Not really.

    It is also important that these four stations are being built in transit deserts which don't have that much access to rail transit.

    The issue right now is that New York City transportation infrastructure costs are high compared to the rest of the world due to a variety of reasons.
