"close to room temperature" is said a bunch in the article, but they never say how close.

The actual paper says 280 K in the abstract, which is about 7°C or 44°F. How hard would that have been to mention?

So even before refining it, this is freezer temp and not liquid nitrogen temp like I was expecting from them avoiding the answer.

    "Rare material" references the fact that it's a magnetoelectric which is a rare category of materials, not how difficult it is to get or produce. In fact, it's made of common metals.
