A 29-year-old Glenvale man was fined more than $1,000 and three demerit points for allegedly driving without due care and attention ....

Outrageous! That's a stupid fine just for buttering a bagel, wtf

.... and driving an unregistered vehicle.

He was steering with his knees, so both hands off the wheel, in busy traffic, and undoubtedly not paying full attention to the road, for who knows what period of time. Even at low speed, he's gonna rear-end someone eventually.

The fine for using a phone is 4 demerit points, so loss of licence for a P-plater, and $1295. This is much more dangerous. He got off lightly, imo.

Gonna be honest, before reading the story I thought "buttering bagel" was an Australian euphemism for masturbating because the thought of someone literally buttering their bagel didn't make sense...until I read the story🤷‍♀️🤷‍♂️

Driving is the wrong time to butter your bagels smh

    Came here to post this.

For those who don't know, it's an It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia episode where they spend the whole episode trying to prove or disprove if Dennis was negligent driving to work eating a bowl of cereal.
