Read the whole thing; Shatner literally says he just wants to grill, lol. grillman

    Not only that, this headline buries the lede:

    “I saw the film and I thought it was really interesting, a little ponderous,” Shatner, a sprightly 95, recalls of the original pilot via Zoom from his home in Los Angeles, with his dogs sleeping nearby. “So I suggested maybe a lighter touch, and we made another pilot and it sold.”

    He suggested that for the original, but the title (to me) sounds like he suggested it for today's writers. I suppose it could be taken implicitly, but he also just wants to be alone with his dogs and his grill
