We had a dog that started to eat huge amounts of grass outside after spending too much time with a lamb. He once ate a bunch of grass laying on the field to dry to become hay. It continued to ferment inside of him until he started to projectile puke all over the stairs down from first to ground floor.

He specialized later and focused on dandelions and only digging up and eating the roots. Don't know, he was a weirdo :D

My cat also ate too much grass and throws up. I used to have this "cat grass" patch growing in the windowsill for him to graze on. But he ate it so fast that it didn't have time to regrow, and it got "redistributed" around the house. Silly creature. We don't have cat grass anymore.

Fully agreed. Would she catch birds, I would have serious issues with that. But her being an inside cat for most of her life plus a lamp on her collar, this thankfully ain't an issue at all. I track her all the time she's outside, so I know exactly at which neighbour's garden she is at sitting in front of mouse holes and can summon her at will (which she knows is a call for treats so she listens to it closely).
