Tabla Beat Science was a group of Zakir Hussain on tablas, Bill Laswell on bass, Ustad Sultan Khan on sarangi, Karsh Kale on drums, and DJ Disk on turntables. Trilok Gurtu and Talvin Singh were involved in the 'Tala Matrix' album. Ejigayehu Shibabaw (aka Gigi), who was Laswell's wife at the time, performed some songs.
