more like

systematic failures of capitalism ruining your life

then have everyone shout at you 'what about personal responsibility?' often, even your family.

this is one of the most insidious things about american culture and ends up inflicting the most damage to your well-being.

In a way, it's actually the runaway systemic success of capitalism ruining all our lives. Like a tumor, it's so fucking effective at parisitizing it's host (earth) to fuel meaningless growth for the sake of growth that it will be terminal if we don't excise it.

American right-wing, TYVM. Just over half us aren't that stupid, although I admit their number seems to be growing.

I don't know... plenty of "left-wing" in Amerika are still blaming Russia for everything and also being paranoid about Communism.

Just over half us aren’t that stupid

How many people voted for Gavin Newsom and Andrew Cuomo? How many Americans supported Israel for decades? How many believed the Clintons about "Superpredators". How many bought into the notion that Medicare for All is economy-destroying, but Iraq/Afghanistan was a fight for freedom?

How many people still think The Russians and The Chinese are secretly behind every American candidate they don't like?
