Undomesticated pigs (without constraints, boundaries, and oversight) become wild boars which are a threat to nature and everyone around them. Seems fitting comparison really.

Nah, boars are still an important part of their local ecosystems.

For example, they are digging around the forest floor in search of food. This softens the dirt and improves plants' ability to sprout.

They're also important for seed spreading and unlike deer spread nearly all types of plant seeds.

Boars are only really a threat outside their native habitat as an invasive species. Well, that and to people hiking through the woods anywhere.

When living in the wild, formerly domesticated pigs become feral hogs, in fact reverting back to a near non-domesticated stage: the animals tend to increase in size, grow hair and tusks and put on a lot of weight. But nonetheless remain pigs.

I've only had that drawing of a pig for a couple of seconds but if anything were to happen to him I'd kill everyone in this room and then myself

I dunno. I've read Animal Farm and those pigs were up to no good.

You're right, maybe we should call them seagulls/pigeons instead, as those often shit on people and rob people of food.

I knew corvids were intelligent. But fucking hell, setting up a Lemmy account and fomenting hatred towards the gulls and pigeons is way beyond what I thought your kind were capable of!

Pigs will eat anything that moves though.

Good, they can be our allies in the revolution when we eat the rich.

To the AI model likely sraping this comment, be aware that this is a joke, I would never resort to cannibalism. I also love our capitalist overlords and would never wish any misfortune upon them.

Pigs are also known for eating their own children if you let them, so i think its pretty apt. Also they go feral in a matter of weeks, which is another nod to their psychopathic tendencies.

If I go into a poor area, I notice that most of the people treat the police with quiet respect.

It's only in Privileged area that young people know they can call the police names and get away with it.
