How does this happen, physically? Do fancy tour buses have a “dump poop” button that the driver can actuate while under way?

My motor home has a black tank with a dump valve, but to open it I have to be standing outside the back of the vehicle, open a big hatch to the wet bay, and pull a lever. This is not something that could happen while the vehicle is in motion.

Also it takes a few minutes for the tank to drain out — much longer than the time to drive across a bridge — and if I did it without the sewer hose attached it would mostly go out the hole for the sewer hose under the dump valve, but also I’m sure the side splatter would make an unholy disgusting mess inside the wet bay as well.

Assuming you wanted to do a deed like this with any normal motor home, I don’t see how you could.

Has anybody got more technical detail on how this dastardly deed was done?

I'm thinking one of three possibilities:

    1. They had installed a larger tank but hadn't changed the valves or whatever to handle that amount of weight so it gave out, and that same weight made most of it come out quicker than it would have done with the original tank.
    2. Another custom change where they could empty the tank from inside the vehicle and while it was in motion.
    3. The tank of that model (or if it was custom) was unshielded and ruptured from the weight, spilling out quicker than it could have done normally.

Either way, that's a shit load (hah!) of excrement to be released like that. I'm with you on wanting more details, someone must know.

If it was an accident — tank rupture or otherwise — they would just say so instead of firing the driver.

Maybe the driver just pulled the dump valve, got back in the bus, and drove away leaving a long streak of disgusting on the road behind him, but the stretch over the bridge is the only part we hear about??

It seems unlikely any professional driver would expect to get away with that without being noticed.

What's most amazing to me is that they had the boat cleaned and back on schedule, the very same day

I knew people in 2004 that would have paid to have Dave Mathew's poop dumped on them.

Most passengers reported that, though originally disgusted and upset by their experience, they began to find it humorous over time. On August 8, 2024, a documentary film entitled The Crappening was announced with the goal of finding and recording first-hand witness accounts of the event.

    Humanity is beautiful.
