Phone started saying liquid detected. (alien.top)

So I my phone started giving me liquid detection messages and after a couple repluggings and cleaning the lightning port out its working again. This has been going on for the last like 2 weeks and My phone never has touched water. Should I be worried?

Can you try a different charging lead? That may be the problem.

Charging cable is on its way out.

I don't know why that happens but it happened to me with my Samsung before.
