Delete it. It started great but it's bloated corpo shit now. Let's start over with a fresh Internet.

Welcome to Gemini (not Google's one; this one is older)!

Thank you. Any client you'd recommend?

If you want a modern browser, I recommend Lagrange, it's cross-platform. If you're a more CLI-minded person, I love Amfora, even if it's in maintenance mode.

got a ways to go yet. ddg (search assist) says the total size of all content on the (public) internet is 120 zettabytes (as of 2023). that's 1.2x10^23 bytes; you're "only" at 1.718x10^19 bytes.

[-] Juice@midwest.social 4 points 3 weeks ago

Not the whole internet, just the porn

[-] Klear@piefed.world 4 points 3 weeks ago

Hate when that happens. Ran into exactly this a few weeks ago

[-] ignotum@lemmy.world 6 points 3 weeks ago

You're trying to download a bunch of stuff from a website so you press the "download all" button, not realizing it is referring to all of the internet

Hate it when that happens

[-] Klear@piefed.world 4 points 3 weeks ago

Had to delete most of the internet afterwards. Hope I didn't trash something people were using.

I mean, all the websites in the world are probably using that much disk space collectively, so it's technically correct...?
