Cooking dinner after completing a 100 mile bike ride. Almost perfect weather for it today, but I did not condition myself well enough for it. The last 20 miles or so were rough.
Joined a tiny tiny company for 10 hours a week doing coffee education and quality assurance. It's a nice bonus but still struggling to find next steps. Haven't written much with the switch to a summer schedule (kid's schedule is whacky, nursing strike in BC) so juggling alot.
Well, 2 months and no job, but ik it's rookie numbers. I know someone who got a job in 4 years. He's doing well now but sheesh.
I've started working on my own designs again. Polishing my portfolio while figuring out how to reach out to folks for pro bono work haha. Unsure of what to show them. And I applied to Starbucks.
Other than that, reconnected with my cousins and cleared up silly family drama. Even though the economy is awful, it's good to know there's still family.
What field?
My job let me go yesterday so thats fun. Gotta figure out next steps today
Hang in there. This is only temporary. I hope things work out far better than you expect.
Thank you! Yeah I mean I was pretty miserable there so once I kinda have everything sorted out, I hope it'll be a much better time haha
It's alright. Started therapy yesterday and was almost late for my first appointment because of baby. But the therapist was nice, hopefully she'll be able to help me in the long term :)
Congrats on therapy! I have a new baby daughter too and I'm on a schedule every 2 or 3 weeks with my therapist. She keeps me sane and I hope yours does too.
Are you missing your hobbies and free time more or socialization?
Thanks! I'll be going every 2 weeks after my therapist returns from summer holidays.
I think I miss hobbies and free time? But honestly I can barely imagine doing them or having a night off. So it's hars to tell. Socialising is still going to some extent. We do get a lot of house calls by friends and that's nice, but I also miss seeing friends elsewhere.
