Nothing will happen. He's too important to the conservative (bowel) movement. If ignorance of the law is no excuse for breaking it, then machinations of enforcement, legislation, and interpretation of said law should be held to the highest standard. He should get triple the maximum sentence because of his position.

A completely corrupt judge, and the only thing they can charge him with is tax evasion. It reminds me of Capone.

Republicans should welcome this. They can pressure Thomas to resign, since he's old anyway, then appoint a successor before the Midterms. They don't want to try to shove a MAGA SCOTUS nominee through a Democrat Senate.

Okay, so they'll appeal it all the way up to the Supreme Court, and Thomas will decide that there's no need to recuse himself, no conflict of interest when he's ruling on a case where he himself is the defendant.
