Is there something like XDA or a sub specifically for linux phones? Where should I look for when looking on information and conversations specifically on this stuff? Looking online info seems pretty fragmented and hard to find, should I look into specific distros forums/chats? Isn't there some sort of forum aggregating everything on Linux on mobile?

It is fragmented.

The PostMarketOS community is active, but more importantly, there is a ton of wiki info not only on installing, but figuring out drivers, info on partition slots, etc. Armbian is another place to read.

The other thing to learn about is the DEs, specifically phosh, gnome mobile, plasma mobile, xmso, lomiri, etc. They all behave differently, so you'll want to check out each one to see if you lean more one way or the other.

Good luck. May your journey be better than mine.

I have been following https://linmob.net/ for news and developments. They do a good job aggregating from conferences, boards, HN, and reddit.

I mention https://lemmy.ca/c/linuxphones in case you've not found it already. It's not like an authoritive, central forum where everyone goes but maybe it's a start.
