How about shipping with an “alive” switch so I dont even have to think about this shit?

Cant wait for the back peddling to begin.
. We have changed our policy and some AI powered tools can no longer be disabled with the Kill Switch.
. The Kill Switch may not work on browser forks due to several changes made, you must be using base firefox to have access to this feature.
. We will no longer offer a kill switch in its current state, instead you will have limited access to disable some AI features one by one in the settings & config menus (good luck getting them all)
. AI is actually great, so we have decided to make it impossible for users to disable it... Fuck you, we know better than our customers.
there are some grey areas in what ‘opt-in’ means to different people
Pathetic way to control the damage while saying "fuck you" to regular users.
A kill switch? Easy. Make it an extension. Then we can actually kill it.
Or like, keep lying, take that AI money and sell hot air. Sad.
If they are going to make AI the beating heart of the browser, like ceo said, then this will be as helpful as the JavaScript option to turn that off
This whole thing feels like another Synology moment..
I wish it was on by default.
Ok I realize I’m in “fuck AI” but what exactly is the point of implementing this? LLMs are not intelligent and don’t work most of the time. Why is Mozilla pushing for this?
I wish we knew how many people have just one deliberate interaction with AI - which is to switch it off.
