The compaints will be loudest from those that were indoors all weekend, and had no intention of ever driving over the bridge anyways.

Sounds like it went well. 90k is a lot of people on a rainy sunday.
I still have the Opal app installed and get notifications. I find the Adelaide Metro app mystifying in comparison.
I was surprised to hear how different the other states are. I just assumed Melbourne's system would let you use a credit card like Sydney's does, but a tourist told me yesterday that's not the case.
Adelaide Metro have an app?
Really seems like a solution looking for a problem, especially since you can just pay wave these days
Oh, I don't know if it can be called a solution.
When I first visited earlier this year and installed it I'm pretty sure the instructions were:
-
buy a ticket from the list of options in the app before you board
-
Manually activate the ticket in the app once you've boarded
* Not sure the tickets you buy in app work for all modes of transport ...
In hindsight that seems a lot easier and less confusing then I remember. But still sounds like a nightmare for newcomers.
