This is the second time I've seen the exact same post and people in the comments shilling bitwarden and I've only been on lemmy for 2 days. This is some astroturfing shit

    Nah, bitwarden is just that common as a choice. Literally everyone I know offline that uses a password manager uses it.

    I'm not saying there isn't astroturfing involved overall, but it is a very popular service, so don't be surprised when there's plenty of real people too lol

    Tbh, it's also the easiest imo. I even got my mom using it because it took five minutes to get going, and hasn't given her a single hassle.

    They are a necessity. I use bitwarden. And yes I recommended using one. Before my daughter leaves for college i am going to sit the entire family down and get everyone using BW.

  • I use 1password. it's a payed subscription. I dig it. I try to get my family to get in on my plan but they seem to prefer abillionpasswords. that one is free.
