Cyanide and sadness

PTSD and CPTSD are very real and very damaging. Get the help you need without feeling shame. Nobody bats an eye if you go to a doctor for a physical ailment; mental issues should be treated with the same understanding.

They should also get the funding and work related leave that physical ailments are given.

Hijacking to say Complex PTSD by Pete Walker is a great read on the subject, even if you don't think you suffer from cptsd, it's very eye-opening.

PTSD or ghosts?

Ugh. Took my kids to their school for schedule meet and greet. Saw kids who looked like the ones who bullied me when I was their age and all the emotions and memories came flooding back. These are kids 1/3rd my age and strangers, they have no power over me and yet I felt messed up.

Well this isn't very happiness.

No no this is Ice Cream and Sadness

Serious answer: they have an on and off event called depressing comics week, we're instead of telling jokes with dark humor, they just create dark scenarios that aren't funny at all.

Why? It is done intentionally to see if they can successfully create scenarios that make people sad. Which is all things considered actually a healthy exercise for someone who regularly engages in dark comedy to do. Helps them remember where the line needs to be kept in order to keep things funny.

I guess that's the Cyanide part of the title. Fucking hell.

[-] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Oh hell. I’ll just push the whole need for expensive counselling aside and carry on with my life then.

If you pay attention super close to the videos they all have black teeth that are barely noticeable unless you're paying attention

About this community and how I post the comics… Many moons ago, I would ask my Dad to save the newspaper for me everyday so I could read my favorite comic strips. Of course these days you can read your favorite comics online instead of a newspaper, but I love the nostalgia of reading the daily comics. Anyway, one of my favorite current comics is Cyanide and Happiness and I will be posting the daily release from their website (https://explosm.net/) and a an extra or two randoms.
