i lived in Strasbourg and took that train from Germany back to France daily for a year

Had a nice trip in alcasce last year. DB app saved me, train travel around strasbourg, up to Frankfurt and all the surrounding towns was easy. The German trains are nicer though, but expensive

tbf not with deutsche bahn they don't they take a replacement bus

Someone needs to tell them about the Eurostar

Loved the roughly 2h I spent in the train from Mannheim to Paris. 3h to Amsterdam, of memory serves.
