I had an econ student tell me it's just because Russia is used to fighting artillery wars and the west isn't so why would the west have the capacity anyway?

I responded "Maybe the west should stop starting wars they can't win then?"

I was also drinking so maybe I was a bit of an ass about it, but I hope it was a little food for thought
