Ansar Allah has been very clear about why they're doing this, so just fucking end the Palestinian genocide you evil fucks

[-] [email protected] 51 points 1 year ago

They’ve been clear about why they are doing this and equally clear about the only thing that will stop them is ending the genocide.

Yemen in its population of 33.7 million has more courage and honor (aka balls) than the entire western world with its population of 1.3billion.

hey, let's not forget the gonads on Aaron Bushnell

[-] [email protected] 47 points 1 year ago

Didn't you hear? Aaron Bushnell was a Hamas so he doesn't count as part of the west. (is it "a Hamas" or "an Hamas"?)

Nope. I know for a fact that if you are pronouncing it with the gurgly "K" sound it is definately "An KKKhamas"

fedposting We promise we'll totally take you off the "forever villain" list if you stop blowing up the treat boats headed to Israel. And then every cracker will totally forgive you too.

"We favor a diplomatic solution, we know there is no military solution."

  • US envoy to Yemen

Guess that the Yemeni made, and iranian designed anti ship ballistic missiles are tough to stop then. It's the first time in history ballistic missiles have been used against ships in an armed conflict. There is no military solution, because every day this continues, is one day that a US Navy ship could be sunk. The Houthis only need one successful hit to accomplish that. The US Navy is in a lose lose situation thanks to the Houthis military actions against them, and have now been forced to negotiate.

[-] [email protected] 43 points 1 year ago

So much for not negotiating with "terrorists" amerikkka

[-] [email protected] 37 points 1 year ago

If they revoke the terrorist label they are no longer negotiating with terrorists phoenix-think

[-] [email protected] 35 points 1 year ago

There is no military solution

This is false. There is a military solution. The Yemini military can keep shooting boats till everyone gives up and USA fucks off.

thinking about that bbc piece again where they visited a US navy ship, and everyone interviewed moaned about missing their treats and being homesick...

US Navy aircraft carrier faces relentless battle against Houthi attacks (18 Mar 2024)

Unlike the Houthis, they're away from home with few creature comforts. Every meal on board is literally feeding the five thousand. The food bill on the carrier alone is $2m (£1.6m) a month.

Captain Chris Hill, the commanding officer of Ike, says "people need breaks, they need to go home".

But he says they don't yet have dates for when that'll happen. So one of his tasks is to maintain the crews morale and resilience.

He even has a dog on board to help. Demo, a facility dog who's been trained for life on the carrier, walks the mess decks to help lift the crew's spirits.

and...

Captain Hill says: "It's difficult to define winning and losing in this kind of conflict."

"Ideally, we want to stop every Houthi attack."

When I ask whether that's achievable, he replies that it's "hard to say".

It's also a case of the sailors onboard the US Navy ships having to be successful everytime in their missile defence or intercept missions, while the Houthis only need to have one successful attack to sink a US Navy ship. It's unsustainable long term for the US Navy, one mistake and one of their ships is toast. The US has been forced to the negotiation table by the Houthis military actions.

Those Houti´s really have all the comforts, unlike American soldiers

The troops really are the most pampered babies on the planet

austerity is sharing 1 dog among 5k people

[-] [email protected] 31 points 1 year ago

communism is when you share the dog and stalin gets the head and everyone else gets the ass

[-] [email protected] 32 points 1 year ago

There's 5000 Americans sitting on their asses for each one of these ships, and their job is to wait to be sunk. Beautiful use of resources. I love capitalism.

[-] [email protected] 30 points 1 year ago

he replies that it's "hard to say".

The word is "no" and its fucking easy to say but Captain hill is a fucking douchecanoe who is scared his boss will get mad at him for telling simple truths.

This rules lol

The attacks on the Houthis actually made their blockade more effective. Having the area classified as an active war zone by ship insurance companies raised rates on ships passing through so much that the Houthis are actually causing devastating economical damage even if they don't fire a single missile.

[-] [email protected] 34 points 1 year ago

It hurt itself in its confusion

Ansarallah did this consciously as part of their strategy. I remember a spokesperson stating “we will turn the Red Sea into a flaming warzone” as their threat if the bombing and invasion of Gaza didn’t stop.

Ansarallah is inflicting direct damage on ships past the air defense network of the American fleets, but even if they weren’t, just the American fleets being there and launching air defense systems constantly and flaming debris of missiles and drones raining down is sufficient deterrent.

I guess this is really about the economic sanctions that come from being officially labelled as a terrorist.

Is this article one of the Hollywood humiliation rituals I’ve heard so much about, but for the entire US Military Industrial Complex?
