I'm pretty sure it's deleted from your account's instance but not others.
You cannot delete comments in fediverse due to instances. Once online, always online.
Ah, finally a place for us whom often type, but rarely post.
When a comment is deleted other instances are notified, so it should be deleted on all of them. Unless they are misconfigured
But you can edit it to just say deleted or smth
