[–] i_had_name@lemmy.world 7 points 3 years ago (2 children) Salmon, dill and potatoes are ingredients I would never ever, ever put into ceviche. This is like Scandinavian fusion. That said, it looks delicious. permalink fedilink source hideshow 4 child comments replies: [–] Che_Donkey@lemmy.ml [S] 2 points 3 years ago (1 child) Salmon was cured in lemon, lime, garlic; the garnish was potato straws & dill, and all of this was served over a garlic royal. Lol we are in Spain as well & this was a tapas event we did for another place that doesn't have a kitchen, so let that boil yer noodle.... permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] i_had_name@lemmy.world 2 points 3 years ago Looks great. I would call this a fusion Salmon poke bowl. Sushi grade fish servered raw in a type of sauce with other ingredients. Poke bowls normally consist of fish, crunchy vegetables and a sauce like sesame oil, but this would be a really interesting spin on the concept. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 4 child comments replies: [–] Che_Donkey@lemmy.ml [S] 1 point 3 years ago (1 child) commented above, the salmon was "cooked" in lemon, lime, garlic. cured/cooked potato/potato is it really imperative that you break down the semantics? permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] mosiacmango@lemm.ee 1 point 3 years ago* Ehh, just trying to understand the dish. You explained only part of the dish at the outset, so its not suprisingly folks came to the wrong conclusion. Sounds like a really interesting ceviche mate. permalink fedilink source parent [–] QuikxSpec@lemmy.world 0 points 3 years ago Agreed the bowl on the right looks more like ceviche than the featured item permalink fedilink source parent
