    idk but the only person I know who's read it is in fact a woman so shrug-outta-hecks. She likes it and has read it multiple times.

    EDIT: The thing with Infinite Jest is not that there's anything wrong with the book, it's good! There's just a particular type of pretentious guy that it tends to be popular with? OOP doesn't seem to read much in the way of actual literature so it would be a surprise for it to show up here.

    Anecdotally, I was suggested to read the book by a person I have dated for a short time, absolute pseud of a person.
