I just discovered 'moats' so next week I will dig a large ditch around my house and fill it with water, and I'm doing it to protect my toothbrush from communists (hexbear.net)

a good moat should be 3 spans of an oxen and too deep for an ox to ford. but your castellan should probably know this. are you looking for one?
